Carolina Industrial Equipment is looking for an experienced Equipment Mechanic to join its Charlotte, NC operation. You’ll work on a wide range of industrial and municipal equipment while building real expertise through factory training.

Carolina Industrial Equipment, Inc. is a 60-year-old company serving North and South Carolina with industrial and municipal maintenance equipment.

Our product line includes industrial floor sweepers and scrubbers, electric and gas powered utility vehicles, municipal street sweepers, snow & ice control machinery, leaf control equipment, and sewer cleaning equipment. We operate from a clean, modern 30,000 sq ft facility in Charlotte, NC.

Your Role in the Shop

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and setup of new equipment
  • Analyze, evaluate, and document diagnosis and recommended work to complete work orders
  • Inspect vehicle systems and perform preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair failed components on vehicle body, chassis, and auxiliary systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of related mechanical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated hands-on ability
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to diagnose and repair DC electrical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair gasoline, LP, and diesel fueled engines
  • Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
