FAQ
Do I need a scrubber, a sweeper, or both?
Depends on the floor. Spills, grime, or sticky residue call for a scrubber — Big Ox or PowerBoss. Mostly dust and loose debris? A sweeper like the KEMARO K900 does the job without water or downtime.
Does someone need to supervise it while it runs?
No. Once a route is mapped, both machines navigate, avoid obstacles, and return to dock on their own. Someone still handles routine emptying, refilling, and maintenance.
What happens if it runs into a person or a forklift?
Both KEMARO and Big Ox carry LiDAR and 3D sensors to detect obstacles and stop or reroute automatically. KEMARO also uses a BlueSpot light to signal its position to nearby workers and drivers.
How long does mapping a new facility take?
One supervised walkthrough of the space is enough to build the cleaning route. Bortek’s team handles setup and initial mapping.
What floor types do these work on?
Concrete, epoxy, VCT, tile, and most other hard commercial or industrial floors. Ask us about your specific surface if you’re not sure.
Is there a subscription fee?
Big Ox and KEMARO have no subscription fees.
Can it run lights-out, with nobody else in the building?
Yes. Big Ox and KEMARO are both built for unattended shifts, including overnight.
