Wayne Centurion Road Street Sweeper

No matter how nasty the climate or other conditions may be, the Wayne Centurion will keep city and neighborhood streets clean and free of debris throughout the year. The Centurion was completely redesigned in 2009, taking into account input from city managers, public works officials and contractors to create the best road street sweepers machine available today. The nearly eight-foot side sweeping path expands to an extra-wide 10 feet with the addition of a second gutter broom, allowing for one-sweep cleaning efficiency. The Centurion is the first truck-mounted PM 10-certified street sweeper that can operate with or without water, allowing for optimal water conservation capability and dust control.

Other standard Centurion features include the Isuzu FVR cab-over chassis that provides maximum durability and rugged performance and is operated by a 300 horsepower 7.8-liter diesel engine. The four-wheel airbrakes are equipped with ABS for safe and reliable braking. The machine’s dimensions include a height of 126 inches, a width of 100 inches and a wheel base of 126 inches with a turning radius of 19 feet. The unique SweetSmart sweeping system is designed to automatically adjust the performance of the broom and conveyor to meet the sweeping conditions.

The Centurion’s unique IntelliPower system monitors allow you to get the most out the machine’s brushes by monitoring brush wear and optimizing the brush tip speed, which helps minimize brush replacement costs. The extra-large 6.8 yard capacity hopper means the machine can be operated for extended periods of time before the need to empty occurs.
